As last year, Katerina and Olga have made a fantastic TIMS Calendar, for which they have used the beautiful sketches by Johan De Punt of mills in France, Lithuania and Estonia.

Tide Mill Exhibition
The Westbrabantse Mill society hosts an unique exhibition displayed at the renovated Tide Mill in Bergen op Zoom in the Netherlands:
Tides + Mills = Unique
The past year there has been frequent contact between our Mill society and Claudia Silveira of the Ecomuseum Municipal in Seixal Portugal. She has been working closely with various European institutes to put together under the flag of Europe Cultura 2000, the exhibition Tide Mills of Western Europe.
This exhibition has already been shown in many European countries but it has never been to the Netherlands before. Due to this fact, the recently restored Tide Mill in Bergen op Zoom and the fact that Bergen op Zoom celebrates its 800th year of city rights made the Westbrabantse Mill society decided to get this exhibition to Holland.
The international exhibition has been translated into Dutch and is extended with specific information about Tide mills in the Schelde Delta and specifically the Tide Mills in Breda and Bergen op Zoom.
No entree charge is applied to visit the exhibition and it is also incorporated in the guided city tours of Bergen op Zoom.
From June 2th to September 9th the exhibition is open from 10:00 till 16:00 on a daily basis only depending on presence of the Mill owner Hans Smeenk (phone: +31 6 2268 1724).

Tidemill Seminar
Tide Mill seminar
On Saturday, September 1st, an one day seminar will be held at the Old City hall (Oude Stadhuis) in Bergen op Zoom on the topic of Tide Mills.
The seminar program will be:
- From 9:30 the doors will be open
- 10:00 opening of the seminar
- 10:15 Tide Mills in Europe by Robbert Verkerk
- 11:00 Tide Mills of Breda by Jacques Brinkhof
- 11:45 The history of the Tide Mill in Bergen op Zoom by Jan Weijts, architect
- 12:30 Lunch
- 13:30 Archeological research at the Tide Mill Bergen op Zoom by Marco Vermunt
- 14:15 Conservation of the Tide Mill in Bergen op Zoom by Hans Smeenk
- 15:00 Walking tour to the Tide Mill in Bergen op zoom to visit the exhibition "Tides + Mills = Unique"
- Drinks at the Tide Mill Bergen op Zoom.
- 16:30 End seminar.
Note: The seminar will be in Dutch!
The costs for the day are €35,- coffee, lunch and drinks are included.

Mid-Term Excursion to Greece
The Mid-Term Excursion is scheduled for October 5-13, 2013 and will be to Greece.
The places, which will be visited are:
- the island of Andros with its watermills, oil mills and horizontal windmills,
- in the Peloponese the areas of Arcadia (with the Open Air Water-Power Museum including watermills and gun powder mills) and the Argolid (with water and windmills)
- in Athens the ruins of the Agora watermill.
